Unfortunately that is all I can really see. The TV on the right appears to have gameplay footage too, as identified by the life bar at the bottom. One picture appears to be people sitting in the seat (which there is a clearer picture of below), and another screenshot of the T-Rex fight in San Diego. I haven't gotten around to translating the text on there. There are 2 pictures on the left on the information card. Some important features are additional gameplay photos, albeit in terrible quality. I say this because we can see parts of the 2 TVs attached to the cabinet in the background, and the black pipe structure of the machine (Look at the 2 tvs in your photo). I think it might be a marquee in front of the machine. It looks pretty different from the pictures we have seen before. The standard game will have the health boxes, where as Special has the life bar. The biggest visual difference from identifying Special compared to the standard Lost World in screenshots is the life meter. There are a few more screenshots that I found on System16, and in the January 1998 Sega Saturn magazine (linked in the segaretro article). A recent event has re-ignited my search so I figured I'd post what I have here. I was really into searching for this game a few years ago but it fell off my radar. The only images I could find of it was this 2005 photo upload from a Picssr user named MrJolly your seeing right now and one from SegaRetro but still no photos of the gameplay itself. Both players now share the same life bar. A boss level featuring Carnotaurus, a dinosaur that wasn't included in the final film, was cut and replaced with a more film-accurate final level where the players must defeat a Tyrannosaurus rampaging through San Diego. From there, players can choose to take the Jungle Route or the Lakeside Route to reach the InGen Lab. The trailer scene (Stage 4 in the original release) was moved to the beginning of the game. Stages being rearranged to closely follow the plot of the film more. But the big main feature in this version of the game is that it has been updated to follow the movie closer due to AM3 only having access to a few references and the script during development and with the tight deadline especially with some of the dinosaurs in the game not being featured in the final version of the movie.ĭifferences from the original and Special Edition include

So there was an updated version of the 1997 Sega light gun arcade game, The Lost World: Jurassic Park that was in a large full motion theater with an 80-inch screen, improved speakers, gun recoil, and even air blows during the T-Rex boss and was only avaliable in Sega's Amusement venues including Joypolis and Gameworks. Seeing that were getting near to the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, I thought I'd talk about this seeing that no one hasn't touched upon it.
